We can often be such harsh critics towards ourselves, and our inner voice can be unkind and judgemental.
Sometimes the opinions of others are internalised on a detrimental level which can stop our growth and really affect our self esteem and confidence in many ways, big and small.
This in turn can make us feel like we are not good enough and unworthy and can lead to a vicious and self destructive cycle.
This is where we need to put a stop to these negative thoughts and voices and remind ourselves that we are a work in progress. All of us.
No one is perfect.
No one has achieved all their dreams and goals.
And absolutely no one is always happy and has constant stability in life.
Because that is the nature of life and the unprecedented changes around us currently are a testament to that.
Often the bench mark we put up for our idea of perfection or happiness can be unattainable.
Remind yourself that you are your own competition.
You need to make yourself proud and that everyday you work on yourself you are doing better and more than yesterday.
Every hour you invest in yourself gets you closer to achieving your goals.
There is no such thing as a perfect mother, father, daughter, friend, partner etc. We are never at the top of any ladder and there is always room for more.
We learn from our mistakes when we choose to be better and grow… and we all make mistakes.
We adapt to changes if we are willing to and every day is an opportunity and a fresh start if we are willing to see it.
Do not let anyone else project their ideals of perfection onto you, belittle your progress or bring you down with critical remarks.
Be in tune with yourself and hold yourself accountable.
But please don’t be too hard on yourself when you are doing your best.
Be kind to yourself the way you would want to spread kindness and pick yourself up with love when you fall because its okay, it will get better and you have the ability and inner strength to get through every challenging situation with flying colours.
reflect. love. heal always
