Relationship Red Flags to keep an eye out for 1: Something in your gut feels wrong.

Red flags can be sneaky, they can be loud and arrogant and sometimes they are right in front of you but your low self-esteem or confidence can blur your perception.

Red flags do not appear all at once and can be confusing however, if you listen to your gut instincts and use your inner voice to guide you to what feels right or wrong, you will make the right choices for you.

It is so important to listen to your gut instinct, when you feel anxious, uncomfortable, when something doesn’t feel right or something feels off.

Trust your initial reaction to situations and go with it. Sometimes explanations or justifications of actions and behaviours can confuse us and leave us questioning ourselves.

When we question ourselves and our feelings we loose a part of ourselves that can make us feel unsure and internalise what is happening around us.

If something feels like its wrong it is.

If something seems questionable, question it.

If alarm bells are ringing, talk about it.

If you’re taken aback by a comment or action do not question yourself.

If you think something feels like a red flag, hold it up until you are proven otherwise.

The thing is you are smarter than you think, however red flags can be hard to deal with especially if you are a good natured person that gives people a chance, that sees the best in people and that is ok.

What is not ok is when these red flags or relationships start affecting your peace of mind, when they push your limits and boundaries, when you are left confused and hurt and when you know in your heart of hearts that something just doesn’t feel right.

That is when you trust your judgement and let your gut instinct guide you.

What is meant for you will come to you, relationships never need to be rushed or forced and love is about kindness, patience, respect and communication.

Go with your gut instinct, trust your intuition and know that you need to put your own well-being above everything.

Because you deserve to be loved the right way, and sometimes it takes a few red flags to really figure out what you don’t need or want in your life.

  1. Trusting your intuition is scary, and so important. People often feel like they can’t ‘know’, when in reality, they can and do know.
